Agro-tourism in Romania can develop in all rural areas, with particularly favorable conditions in the mountain area, where it can be a professional and economic dimension of mountain households, capable of ensuring labour occupancy and supplementary incomes. This is the only way rural space has real chances to become a viable alternative of human progress and harmonious and sustainable development.
