CROP RESULTS ON CAMBIC CHERNOZEM AT CAMELINA SATIVA L. (SPRING FORM) IN THE TIMIŞOARA AREA PUBLISHED

Roxana IVANOIU, Florin IMBREA, Lucian BOTOS None
The needs of mankind for food oils are increasing. Cameline (Rom. lubiţa) (Camelina sativa Crantz) of the Cruciferous family has been cultivated for its seeds (30-35% oil) for more than 2,000 years. Researches on fertilising have been carried on in Timisoara area- on a cambic, phreatic moist (low glazed) decarbonated chernozem formed on loess-like deposits. Nitrogen and Phosphorus fertilising has had a good influence on spring cameline harvest. Spring cameline represents a future oil culture for the area under study.
