The antibiotic pollution is evaluated as a component of the biophysical degradation of genetically arable chernozems determined both by the input of antibiotics into the soil with organic fertilizers based on waste from livestock, composts and biohumus obtained from them, with plant residues of crops that accumulate antibiotics in tissues, with phytosanitary products (fungicides) and by antibiotic substances produced by the soil biome in polluting quantities under the action of stress factors induced by climatic instability and agrogenetics. Its achievement is supported by unidirectional bioenergetic (humic) and structural-functional (aggregate) degradation responsible for reducing the impact and effects caused by the accumulation of antibiotics. Many processes modulated by antibiotics may be inherently critical for the producing bacteria, such as substrate acquisition or the initiation of developmental changes that will ensure survival under stress conditions. Antibiotics may also have many and important roles in more complex interactions, including virulence on host plants or shaping the outcomes of multitrophic interactions. The innate functions of antibiotics for producing bacteria in their native ecosystem are only beginning to emerge, but current and recent research highlights also a wide range of activities that go far beyond the historical perspective of antibiotics as participation in microbial competitions.
